LST™ Lenses:
Glare and rapid changes in light can play havoc on the eyesight reducing
the visual concentration. Adidas eyewear has developed a
specialized tint of lenses to counteract this reaction. Using light
stabilizing technology the LST™ lens harmonizes extreme light fluctuation
with an additional light contrast effect. Furthermore, the LST™
lens also works to define small details in terrain surfaces on uneven
ground. LST™ Trail and LST™ Golf are light-stabilizer
adaptations otpimized to the special demands of these sports. LST™
thus hinders the rapid tiring of eyes in fast changing light and
guarantees the highest sporting performance.
SPACE Lens:
In cooperation with the national Aeronautics and Space
Administration (NASA), Adidas eyewear has developed the SPACE
Lens™ technology. The filter has already been successfully
used in numerous NASA missions, and is the indispensable equipment of
NASA and ISS astronauts today for protection against high infrared and
ultraviolet light. Outdoor athletes have similar requirements for
reliability and performance. Therefore introduced into the Adidas
eyewear collection is the SPACE Lens™ to provide the ultimate in
defense from intense lighting conditions.
Polarized:
Natural light is emitted like waves in all directions. Light
reflected from highly reflecting surfaces (e.g. snow, water, beach, wet
road, etc.) is polarized i.e. reflected in a direction which is
perceived by the human eye as unpleasant glare. The Polarized
Performance™ PC lenses from Adidas eyewear effective eliminate
these reflected light waves. Enhanced contrast and clear color
perception: these are just some of the advantages of this lens
technology. The threefold anti-reflection coating additionally
applied to the inside avoids reflections which occur at the glass
surface and thus improves sharpness of vision and gives unimpaired clear
sight.
