&lt;p&gt;Single power through the whole lens for distance vision and those who don't need reading glasses. This is the most popular option. &lt;p&gt;Corrects for distance and reading only. Nothing in between.&nbsp; Distance is considered 2 feet or more.&nbsp; Reading is considered 6 to 12 inches.&nbsp; With bifocals, you’ll lose that in between range of 12 inches to 2 feet&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;For those that have a prescription for both distance and reading, progressive “bifocals” allow you to see every possible range. There is also no visible line.&nbsp; The downside to progressives is that you have a more limited range of vision in each “zone”.
