patented polyurethane optical polymers, transparent and unbreakable, originally
developed for the military to provide superior protection and performance. NXT
was born in the USA in the early 1990's when the US government contracted Simula

The Exception offers a vast array of features all packed into a styling
cutting-edge design. The Exception is truly a design masterpiece
that has incorporated all of our major technologies in one
model--including the option to add Rxability using our patented optical
inserts. RP Optic polycarbonate lenses can be put directly inot
the frame or ingeniously added to our flip-up mechanism that attaches to
the frame--offering two vastly different functionalities and
appearances. The Exception incorporates Quick Change
interchangeable lens technology, adjustable Ergonose nose pads (to
eliminate fogging) and adjustable Kynetium temples equipped with our
T-Lock system (for a customized, total comfort fit every time and for
every sport). Advanced Lightweight Grilamid TR90 frame material and
geometric wrap technology means you won't even know you have them on.
Standard insert comes on the frame. If you want the insert for
higher powers, you must purchase it separately. (Price as listed).

you must add the adapter and add prescription lenses. CR-39 lenses
are plastic and should only be used if you will always wear the flip up
part down. If you will be wearing the glasses flipped up, use

Accessories: For those who need
prescription lenses, Rudy Project has provided a special optional
prescription insert that can be mounted on Guarddyan either in the
standard version or the goggle version. This makes it possible to
use a highly technical product even in the most extreme sports
performances, with all the convenience of wearing your own prescription
lenses. The removable elastic strap is adjustable and easy to
apply. It stabilizes the fit of the Guardyan. The Shield interface
in Grilamid TR 55 LX is light and flexible and fastens to the Guardyan
in an extremely simple way. The structure is designed with flowing air
slots that let air in and out of the mask preventing fogging
(removable).

than -4.00D fit into a prescription insert. Price for "Prescription
insert" is for the insert frame part only to try. "Prescription insert
and Prescription Lens" is for the insert with A Sight For Sport Eyes making
the prescription lenses in the insert. Prescriptions above
a -4.00 are subject to a power charge. See

for more details. The insert allows for interchanging of lens colors
without purchasing expensive prescriptions lenses in every color. The
Rudy Project inserts do follow the curve of the glasses when inserted so
they are no recommended for prescriptions above a -4.00 sphere or with
cylinder (astigmatism) higher than -1.00. Exception: Flip-Up
series can accommodate prescriptions of up to a -12.00. High index is
recommended. For high index or other lens options, click

the comment area. PD measurements are required to properly fill
prescriptions.
