UV is more damaging to kids eyes than adults. They have not matured enough to have natural protection from UV. Kids receive 3x more annual UV exposure than adults. Less than 30% of parents are currently protecting their children’s eyes with sunglasses. Cheap sunglasses may say "UV" but they may not be protecting the full spectrum of UV needed. Polarized lenses are also an option on most styles.
