Spy Authentic Prescription Lens Information
Spy Authentic prescription lenses available. Lenses will be made with the Spy Happy technology if selected. The Spy RX Happy lens fuses years of optics design experience with a large and growing body of scientific research to redefine lens innovation in the only prescription lens technology designed to maximize the best transmission of the sun's good rays (specific long wave blue light) while still blocking bad rays (UV and short wave blue light). Exposure to "good" rays has been shown to help align the human body's rhythm with its natural preference for specific color and wavelengths, creating positive changes that can help harmonize the body--creating a positive physiological "uplift" in mood and alertness. The Spy Rx Happy Lens also provides color/contrast enhancement like no other digital lens available. RX Range single vision +3.50 to -5.00, in progresssive ( See progressive lens policy) +3.00 to -4.50 with maximum of 3.00 cylinder power. Actual ability to make will depend on PD. Sizing Information:
If you look at the description on most product descriptions, we have the "eyesize" measurements. Glasses are not measured in sizes like clothes or shoes. Frames can fit differently on each person's nose or ears. The best option is to try for fit. But you can use the "eyesize" to give you an idea of size. You can double the "A" measurement, add the DBL (nose bridge) and get an approximation of width. However, if the glasses are wrap around, the "eyesize" will be bigger since it wraps around the sides. Thus, comparing the eyesize of your regular glasses doesn't always work. If you are unsure about size, you can also contact us for a recommendation. What is a "PD"
PD (pupil distance) tells us how to center the "sweet spot" of the prescription right in front of your pupil for the best vision. If this is not on your prescription, you can contact wherever you made glasses (not necessarily your eye doctor) to get this information. Or see below on how to measure yourself.
What is "Add"
Add is your reading prescription power. If you wear bifocals or progressives, you will need this. If you don't wear bifcoals or progressives (typically people over 40) then you can skip this.
