Adidas Prescription Information

Multiple prescription options available.  Base price is for single vision lenses only. Progressives are available for an upgrade but must be measured first. If you order progressives, the frame will be sent to you first with instructions for progressives measurements.  Minimum seg height 19mm.  Minimum PD 27.5

Option #1:  RX insert (Full Rim or Rimless insert options). Maximum prescription range -+6.00 to -6.00 total power (sphere plus cylinder).  This is a piece that carries the prescription and snaps in behind the non-prescription Rudy Project lenses. This allows you to change out the front lens for various light conditions while only purchasing one pair of prescription lenses. This is the most economical way to go and is a good option for contact lens wearers who only need to occasionally insert the prescription adapter.  Eyesize:  A:  39, B:  30.   The rimless adapter is less noticeable but is held only at the nose so may be more fragile but since this sits behind the front lenses; cosmetically all the thickness will not be able to be seen from the outside..  Est. Processing time:  5 to 7 business days. Coatings add an extra week.

Option #3:  Direct Glazing:  This replaces the existing lens of the glasses with your prescription.  Advantage is the widest field of view with wrap around protection.  Eyesize best matches the frame's non-prescription counterpart though may be smaller due to presription lens thickness limitations.  Prescription limitation of +4.25 to -4.50.  Dependent on PD. Smaller PD's may not cut out.  Est. Processing time, 7 to 10 business days.  Coatings add an extra week.

Sizing Information:

If you look at the description on most product descriptions, we have the "eyesize" measurements. Glasses are not measured in sizes like clothes or shoes. Frames can fit differently on each person's nose or ears. The best option is to try for fit. But you can use the "eyesize" to give you an idea of size. You can double the "A" measurement, add the DBL (nose bridge) and get an approximation of width. However, if the glasses are wrap around, the "eyesize" will be bigger since it wraps around the sides. Thus, comparing the eyesize of your regular glasses doesn't always work. If you are unsure about size, you can also contact us for a recommendation. What is a "PD"

PD (pupil distance) tells us how to center the "sweet spot" of the prescription right in front of your pupil for the best vision. If this is not on your prescription, you can contact wherever you made glasses (not necessarily your eye doctor) to get this information. Or see below on how to measure yourself.

What is "Add"

Add is your reading prescription power. If you wear bifocals or progressives, you will need this. If you don't wear bifcoals or progressives (typically people over 40) then you can skip this.
