7Eye by Panoptx Prescription Information
Prices are for prescriptions ranges +4.00 to -4.00 and less than 2.50 astigmatism (cylinder or second number of prescription). Prices quoted for 7Eye Authentic lenses. Prescription lenses can also be made using A Sight for Sport Eyes lab for a wider variety of lens options. Also options like fog coating can be added with our lab since 7Eye does not offer this option in prescription. See prescription information page for options. If you want multiple pairs of lenses, you will also need to purchase an extra Lens Module for lenses to be made in. Prices shown are for single vision (SV) prescription lenses only. Bifocal lenses are available in store only or see our prescription information page for other options for obtaining bifocal or progressive lenses. Estimated time for fabrication: 2 weeks.
Additional "blank" gaskets can be purchased if you want to interchange lenses. Order the blank gasket only and prescription lens option for a separate second pair of lenses.
Sizing Information:
If you look at the description on most product descriptions, we have the "eyesize" measurements. Glasses are not measured in sizes like clothes or shoes. Frames can fit differently on each person's nose or ears. The best option is to try for fit. But you can use the "eyesize" to give you an idea of size. You can double the "A" measurement, add the DBL (nose bridge) and get an approximation of width. However, if the glasses are wrap around, the "eyesize" will be bigger since it wraps around the sides. Thus, comparing the eyesize of your regular glasses doesn't always work. If you are unsure about size, you can also contact us for a recommendation. For more information on how eyesize works, check out our eyesize video.
What is a "PD"
PD (pupil distance) tells us how to center the "sweet spot" of the prescription right in front of your pupil for the best vision. If this is not on your prescription, you can contact wherever you made glasses (not necessarily your eye doctor) to get this information. Or see below on how to measure yourself.
What is "Add"
Add is your reading prescription power. If you wear bifocals or progressives, you will need this. If you don't wear bifcoals or progressives (typically people over 40) then you can skip this.
