Custom Dive Mask Lenses Information
Custom prescription lenses to fit your existing mask or into a new mask we sell on this website. There are two ways to make custom lenses:
Direct in Mask: This option is only available for certain two pane masks (separate lens for each eye). The mask must not be tear drop shape and more square. Masks we can do this on this website would be the Tusa 5700 or similar. See prescription limitations below for this option.
Glued in lenses: This can be done on any mask. Lenses will be cut to the mask and glued in.
Custom Dive Mask Prescription Information
Direct in prescription is limited to prescription powers of +2.00 to -8.00
Glued in option has no maximum prescription limitation, though some very high prescriptions may not be able to be done. We would have to get a custom quote for prescriptions above -8.00 or +4.00.
Sizing Information:
If you look at the description on most product descriptions, we have the "eyesize" measurements. Glasses are not measured in sizes like clothes or shoes. Frames can fit differently on each person's nose or ears. The best option is to try for fit. But you can use the "eyesize" to give you an idea of size. You can double the "A" measurement, add the DBL (nose bridge) and get an approximation of width. However, if the glasses are wrap around, the "eyesize" will be bigger since it wraps around the sides. Thus, comparing the eyesize of your regular glasses doesn't always work. If you are unsure about size, you can also contact us for a recommendation. What is a "PD"
PD (pupil distance) tells us how to center the "sweet spot" of the prescription right in front of your pupil for the best vision. If this is not on your prescription, you can contact wherever you made glasses (not necessarily your eye doctor) to get this information. Or see below on how to measure yourself.
What is "Add"
Add is your reading prescription power. If you wear bifocals or progressives, you will need this. If you don't wear bifcoals or progressives (typically people over 40) then you can skip this.
