Macuhealth Vitreous Health Supplement Information
VitreousHealth is an eye floater formula that contains antioxidant and anti-glycative nutrients, the effectiveness of which was published in Translational Vision Science and Technology.
Research shows the vitreous loses nutrients over time, which can cause the collagen fibers inside to glycate. These clumps, called floaters, are seen visually as bits of debris floating inside the eye and can be rather frustrating. VitreousHealth contains antioxidant and antiglycative nutrients found in the vitreous humor, the gel that makes up 80% of the eye’s volume. The meticulously selected ingredients in VitreousHealth are dedicated to promoting visual comfort.
FORMULA FOR EYE FLOATERS:
If floaters interfere with your daily life, you’re not alone. In a recent survey, 76% of respondents reported seeing floaters, with a third of them stating that theirs were moderate to severe.1

THE STRUCTURE OF THE VITREOUS:
Two networks are responsible for maintaining the vitreous’ gel structure:2 A network of collagen fibrils maintains the vitreous gel state, providing it with tensile strength. Hyaluronan fills the spaces between these collagen, allowing for a swelling pressure to inflate the gel.

SUPPLEMENT FACTS
Active Ingredients
- 125 mg L-lysine: An essential amino acid, necessary for human health, but not produced by the body. L-lysine prevents collagen glycation.
- 40 mg Vitamin C: Guards against intraocular oxidative stress by consuming oxygen released at the vitreoretinal interface.
- 26.3 mg Vitis Vinifera: Grapeseed extract. Of which 25 mg are Proanthocyanidins, which reduce glycation.
- 5 mg Zinc: Helps reduce processes that lead to vitreous degeneration. Additionally, zinc has antioxidant and antiglycation properties.
- 100 mg Citrus Fruit Extract* of which 60 mg is Hesperidin, an antioxidant
Inactive Ingredients
- HPMC is the capsule, which is a Veggie Capsule.
- MCC is Microcrystalline cellulose, it is refined wood pulp and is used as a texturizer, an anti-caking agent, a fat substitute, an emulsifier, an extender, and a bulking agent in food production.
- Silica (silicon dioxide) is found naturally in many plant food sources. Silicon dioxide is also added to many foods and supplements. As a food additive, it serves as an anticaking agent to avoid clumping. In supplements, it’s used to prevent the various powdered ingredients from sticking together.

Sizing Information:
If you look at the description on most product descriptions, we have the "eyesize" measurements. Glasses are not measured in sizes like clothes or shoes. Frames can fit differently on each person's nose or ears. The best option is to try for fit. But you can use the "eyesize" to give you an idea of size. You can double the "A" measurement, add the DBL (nose bridge) and get an approximation of width. However, if the glasses are wrap around, the "eyesize" will be bigger since it wraps around the sides. Thus, comparing the eyesize of your regular glasses doesn't always work. If you are unsure about size, you can also contact us for a recommendation. For more information on how eyesize works, check out our eyesize video.
What is a "PD"
PD (pupil distance) tells us how to center the "sweet spot" of the prescription right in front of your pupil for the best vision. If this is not on your prescription, you can contact wherever you made glasses (not necessarily your eye doctor) to get this information. Or see below on how to measure yourself.
What is "Add"
Add is your reading prescription power. If you wear bifocals or progressives, you will need this. If you don't wear bifcoals or progressives (typically people over 40) then you can skip this.
