Raleri Rugby Prescription Goggle Information

As of 2022, only the Flexi version will be made. 3.0 version.
Previously, the use of glasses or masks during contact rugby matches was strictly prohibited. However, in a groundbreaking move aimed at accommodating players who require vision correction and those seeking added protection for reduced or monocular vision, the World Rugby Federation (World Rugby) has partnered with Raleri to develop specialized "Rugby Glasses." These innovative glasses are currently undergoing a global trial (GLT) across various rugby fields worldwide.
Endorsed by the World Rugby Trial, these rugby glasses prioritize wearer safety and the safety of fellow players. Boasting top-notch features including impact resistance, anti-condensation properties, a wide field of vision, and a quick-release retention system, they are engineered to meet the rigorous demands of the game.
Designed to accommodate corrective lenses, these rugby glasses require unbreakable prescription lenses prescribed by a doctor. These lenses should be fitted by your trusted optician into the designated insert within the glasses.

Sizing Information:
If you look at the description on most product descriptions, we have the "eyesize" measurements. Glasses are not measured in sizes like clothes or shoes. Frames can fit differently on each person's nose or ears. The best option is to try for fit. But you can use the "eyesize" to give you an idea of size. You can double the "A" measurement, add the DBL (nose bridge) and get an approximation of width. However, if the glasses are wrap around, the "eyesize" will be bigger since it wraps around the sides. Thus, comparing the eyesize of your regular glasses doesn't always work. If you are unsure about size, you can also contact us for a recommendation. For more information on how eyesize works, check out our eyesize video.
What is a "PD"
PD (pupil distance) tells us how to center the "sweet spot" of the prescription right in front of your pupil for the best vision. If this is not on your prescription, you can contact wherever you made glasses (not necessarily your eye doctor) to get this information. Or see below on how to measure yourself.
What is "Add"
Add is your reading prescription power. If you wear bifocals or progressives, you will need this. If you don't wear bifcoals or progressives (typically people over 40) then you can skip this.
