Smith Prescription Information

Bolle Rx adapter This frame utilizes a prescription adapter. This is a piece that carries the prescription and snaps in behind the front lens of the sunglasses. This allows higher prescription availability with the coverage of a large, wrap sunglass lens. It also creates a smaller prescription lens surface area to reduce weight and thickness of prescription lenses. Prescription range +6.00 to -8.00 total power (sphere plus cylinder). ;Most popular prescription options listed. Additional coatings can be added on prescription information page. Since insert sits behind goggle lenses, only clear lenses are recommended. Estimated processing time: 5 to 7 working days. Coatings will add a week.

Sizing Information:

If you look at the description on most product descriptions, we have the "eyesize" measurements. Glasses are not measured in sizes like clothes or shoes. Frames can fit differently on each person's nose or ears. The best option is to try for fit. But you can use the "eyesize" to give you an idea of size. You can double the "A" measurement, add the DBL (nose bridge) and get an approximation of width. However, if the glasses are wrap around, the "eyesize" will be bigger since it wraps around the sides. Thus, comparing the eyesize of your regular glasses doesn't always work. If you are unsure about size, you can also contact us for a recommendation. What is a "PD"

PD (pupil distance) tells us how to center the "sweet spot" of the prescription right in front of your pupil for the best vision. If this is not on your prescription, you can contact wherever you made glasses (not necessarily your eye doctor) to get this information. Or see below on how to measure yourself.

What is "Add"

Add is your reading prescription power. If you wear bifocals or progressives, you will need this. If you don't wear bifcoals or progressives (typically people over 40) then you can skip this.
