Smith I/O XL Mag Product Information
You can only scope your line if you can see where you're going. Putting on the Smith I/O MAG™ XL goggles is like flipping the switch from regular to extra-widescreen. Our ChromaPop™ lens tech boosts color and contrast, so you get the clearest picture of the terrain ahead. Our highest level of anti-fog treatment and air flow keep the view sharp. Whether the day dawns clear or stormy, lens swaps are a snap thanks to our quick-swap MAG™ lens system. Because no two faces are the same, the XL model expands on the standard size for those looking for the largest possible lens.
Features:
- Spherical Carbonic-x lens for distortion-free optics and impact resistance
- ChromaPop™ lenses: Normally the eye has trouble distinguishing colors where the blue/green and the green/red wavelengths cross over. ChromaPop™ filters these specific crossovers for greater definition, natural color, and clarity.
- 5X™ anti-fog inner lens for advanced fog-free performance
- Smith MAG™ lens change system: MAG technology allows you to quickly change lenses for any riding condition. Strong and weatherproof magnets guide the lens into the secure anchored position. Once in position, the lens carrier provides a patent-pending dual locking mechanical engagement to secure the lens. With the Smith MAG’s two locking mechanisms, the lens stays locked tight for whatever the hill throws at you. A simple push of one lever at either side of the lens releases the lens for easy swapping as the light and conditions change. Strong and weatherproof N52 magnets automatically guide the lens into the anchored position. The magnetic function speeds up lens changes to get you back out riding faster.

Which ChromaPop™ lens is right for you?
DO MORE WITH LESS.
ChromaPop™ Snow lenses do more work. With just one ChromaPop™ lens you experience enhanced definition and clarity across a greater range of conditions than with traditional lenses.
PHOTOCHROMIC
These lenses feature UV sensitive, self-tint-adjusting photochromic technology to bring you lenses that adapt to changing light conditions, so you always have the perfect tint for the amount of light.
CHROMAPOP™ SUN
Perfect for cloudless, blazing light conditions, these lenses ease the harsh glare of high elevation sun while helping your eyes see more information in the terrain ahead of you.
CHROMAPOP™ EVERYDAY
Suited for a range of conditions, enhances every undulation of snow so you get more out of every moment.
CHROMAPOP™ STORM
Tuned to bring the most out of an environment when the storm moves in and the lights go out. Optimize contrast even on the worst days, so you can stay out longer.
VLT - VISUAL LIGHT TRANSMISSION
The VLT rating on Smith lenses shows how much light passes through them. The higher the VLT rating, the more light comes through that lens. Lower VLT rated lenses are good for bright, sunny days, whereas higher rated lenses are best in cloudy or
low light situations.

Smith Prescription Information
This frame utilizes a prescription adapter. This is a piece that carries the prescription and snaps in behind the front lens of the goggles or sunglasses. This allows higher prescription availability with the coverage of a large, wrap sunglass lens. It also creates a smaller prescription lens surface area to reduce weight and thickness of prescription lenses. Prescription range +6.00 to -8.00 total power (sphere plus cyliinder). Most popular prescription options listed. Additional coatings can be added on prescription information page. Since insert sits behind goggle lenses, only clear lenses are recommended. Estimated processing time: 5 to 7 working days. Coatings will add a week.
Sizing Information:
If you look at the description on most product descriptions, we have the "eyesize" measurements. Glasses are not measured in sizes like clothes or shoes. Frames can fit differently on each person's nose or ears. The best option is to try for fit. But you can use the "eyesize" to give you an idea of size. You can double the "A" measurement, add the DBL (nose bridge) and get an approximation of width. However, if the glasses are wrap around, the "eyesize" will be bigger since it wraps around the sides. Thus, comparing the eyesize of your regular glasses doesn't always work. If you are unsure about size, you can also contact us for a recommendation. For more information on how eyesize works, check out our eyesize video.
What is a "PD"
PD (pupil distance) tells us how to center the "sweet spot" of the prescription right in front of your pupil for the best vision. If this is not on your prescription, you can contact wherever you made glasses (not necessarily your eye doctor) to get this information. Or see below on how to measure yourself.
What is "Add"
Add is your reading prescription power. If you wear bifocals or progressives, you will need this. If you don't wear bifcoals or progressives (typically people over 40) then you can skip this.
