Vuarnet Prescription Information
Ghost Ocular Prescription Lenses:
DISCOVER THE WORLD’S FIRST PRESCRIPTION INTEGRATED SHIELD
Vuarnet authentic lenses Polycarbonate single-screen lenses. Also known as organic lenses, their main advantage is their ultra-lightness. Born from extensive research, development, manufacturing innovations and testing, Vuarnet presents the first prescription integrated shield, a one-piece lens architecture resulting in elite optical clarity.
It replaces the need for clip ons and implant systems that have limited prescription ranges, limited impact and safety standards, limited comfort, and overall limited aesthetic appeal.
The innovative fully integrated prescription shield offers numerous benefits:
- Ghost oculars: the integrated prescriptive oculars are not visible from the outside
- Dynamic range progressive: Available in single and progressive vision - currently compatible with 85% of prescriptions
- Wide panoramic vertical and peripheral field of vision
- Superior impact resistance to RX implant systems
See prescription information page for progressive lens fitting procedure.
Prescription ranges from +3.00 to -5.00 with up to 2.00 cylinder. Some lens combinations may not be available based on full prescription and PD measurement. We will notify you if there are any issues after we process the order.
Estimated processing time 4 to 6 weeks (made in France only). Prices start at $800.
Sizing Information:
If you look at the description on most product descriptions, we have the "eyesize" measurements. Glasses are not measured in sizes like clothes or shoes. Frames can fit differently on each person's nose or ears. The best option is to try for fit. But you can use the "eyesize" to give you an idea of size. You can double the "A" measurement, add the DBL (nose bridge) and get an approximation of width. However, if the glasses are wrap around, the "eyesize" will be bigger since it wraps around the sides. Thus, comparing the eyesize of your regular glasses doesn't always work. If you are unsure about size, you can also contact us for a recommendation. For more information on how eyesize works, check out our eyesize video.
What is a "PD"
PD (pupil distance) tells us how to center the "sweet spot" of the prescription right in front of your pupil for the best vision. If this is not on your prescription, you can contact wherever you made glasses (not necessarily your eye doctor) to get this information. Or see below on how to measure yourself.
What is "Add"
Add is your reading prescription power. If you wear bifocals or progressives, you will need this. If you don't wear bifcoals or progressives (typically people over 40) then you can skip this.
